It took many years for me to take the step of having breast reduction surgery due to embarrassment and fear. I wondered if it was too late at my advanced years of nearly 60 but Mr Raine never made me feel that way and indeed it seems that many of his patients are in my age group. He gave me the information regarding the potential outcomes, both good and bad, and what he expected to be the outcome along with the likely size he could bring me down to. I have to say that I don't think many people in my position would enjoy having pictures taken of their boobs but even this was achieved without too much embarrassment on my part. The operation involves a one night stay in the hospital (my dignity being preserved and a certain amount of good humour from all staff) and recovery was a couple of weeks. I can't say there was a huge amount of pain, more discomfort and I would recommend a V-shaped pillow and your own bed to sleep in. I am delighted with the outcome and feel that I look 'normal' at last. Dresses actually fit - what a joy! Exercise is no longer a chore and running for a bus is not embarrassing. No further neck pain and one friend commented that I stand up straighter before she knew about the op. Can't recommend Mr Raine enough!

After years of wishing but never actually having the courage, I finally I had breast reduction surgery on 27th May 2016. My breaking point came while looking for a bridesmaids dress for my brother’s wedding (meant to be a happy experience). I cried while in the dress and asked to be removed from it and broke down in tears due to my appearance nothing flattered by “big boobs”. It took me years to finally build up the courage to go for a consultation as I never had the confidence. No one had ever seen my breasts other than my long term partner. So booking it was a big deal. I had previously had a consultation at Nuffield Hospital in Newcastle and leaving it 3 months between consultations. I was made to feel like a sales target, with the monthly phone calls asking if I was ready to book. They made me feel my money was more important than any surgery. This was never the case at Spire, my experience felt personal. For my consultation I met with my Surgeon Mr Cameron Raine and he explained everything thoroughly with me, from the operation procedure through to recovery and how my scaring may look. The worst part was getting my pictures taken and the examining of my breasts but Mr Raine, realising it was not a pleasant experience for me and I was embarrassed made me feel relaxed and gave me the assurance I needed, that the operation was for me. Mr Raine also took every question I had seriously even though to me they felt “silly”, I was never made to feel like that. After my consultation I finally felt confident to book my surgery. After my operation I cried with joy seeing my new boobs for the first time. This was an experience which would happen many times after, from new bikinis, new bras, my clothes fitting me completely different, to my friends just telling me I had new glow in my face. Living 60 miles away from Spire Hospital made it tricky if I had any concerns or worries but Mr Raine was there for me at the other end of an email. Once again reassuring me all was ok with any concerns I had. I even joked that, if someone had told me a year previously I would be emailing a picture of my nipple to my surgeon, a year later, I would never have believed them. I never imagined I would ever have the guts to go through with it. I really am so grateful for Mr Raine contributing to changing my life and giving me a new found confidence and happiness. I would not change a thing about my experience with Mr Raine and Spire Hospital - only wish I had done it years ago! I would recommend him and Spire to any of my friends considering cosmetic surgery

I have never had any surgery before and wanted to get some fatty bits that I was finding it difficult to get rid of from diet and exercise. Dr Raine was amazing, he talked me through EVERYTHING, exactly what the process and procedure was, aftercare, other people's experiences and pretty much everything to expect. On the day of surgery he came in and asked if I was ok, talked through the whole procedure to make sure I was comfortable again and marked my body up for surgery! I was so well taken care of at spire hospital and Dr Raine, when I found out about this website I knew that I had to come and write a review about it all. I just had my follow up appointment with it being a few months since the surgery, I look so much better!! Everything I wanted to like and more! Has changed me as a person with being so much more confident! If you're looking to be taken care of and get exactly what you're looking for I highly recommend Dr Raine, fantastic job and can't thank him enough! Can't wait to go back in the future to have other procedures!

I first met Mr raine at my first consultation for breast augmentation in April 2016 , I was extremely nervous and unsure of how I felt about size and the surgery itself was worrying me . My consultation was almost two hours long and I felt he just knew exactly what I wanted and what I needed to be done to achieve the perfect size and look for me so I left feeling 100% sure I was going to go ahead with the procedure, he explained everything from the beginning to the end about what would be done and the recovery also the risks involved there was nothing I felt I neede to ask him as he was thorough and very comfortable to be with I was delighted with this choice of surgeon , I had a follow up appointment 2 weeks later and this was to try on the bra I had brought with the sizers in them and again he went over the process of the surgery and my stay at the murrayfield spire . My surgery was booked for 3rd June 2016 , Mr raine came to see me before the surgery and talked over the procedure and I think that made me feel a bit less nervous and more excited about the procedure. The surgery lasted around 2 hours And although I had a bit of a hard time with the anaesthetic I couldn't fault the care I was given it was 5 star completely . I was discharged the next morning and Mr raine came to see me before I left and reassured me everything had gone well and not to hesitate if I was worried or had any questions just to get in touch . I would highly recommend this doctor he is extremely professional and understanding to your likes , dislikes, needs and care , and overall I am delighted with the results , couldn't have asked for a better hospital/doctor to have done it .

From my initial consultation Mr Raine made me feel completely at ease. His professionalism and experience left me feeling confident that he understood what I was looking for and what would suit me best. The results are amazing, they look even and natural and as a result my confidence has grown dramatically. The care I received from start to finish was fantastic. Mr Raine and his staff helped me feel relaxed and reassured through the whole process of my surgery.
